This years collection was organised for the 2nd October.
26 members put forward 393 bags, which were logged and then packed into 26 bales by volunteers from all over the country. The total weight was 4552.94 KG. The estimated value of the clip is £78,000.
After standing for 30 days, the bales will be loaded into a container and taken to London Gateway to start the 23 day journey to Port Elizabeth in South Africa.
The House of Fiber will collect the bales of mohair and grade it, ready to be put into an auction sometime in the new year, after their Christmas break.
